Just out of curiosity, I was thinking about how we often see people, or read about them, and we think about the fact that we would like to meet this person, and be able to sit down for a one-on-one chat with them.

I was wondering who those people might be in your life, if you were able to choose up to five people that you would most like to meet. You may list people under two groups, those that are living and those who are now deceased. (You don't have to have five of each... just do whatever suits you best.)

Here is the format you can use, and I will tell you about my choices a little bit later, after I have had time to get them together in my mind and sort them out. There are so many of them!!! LOL

Five living people I'd like to meet are:

This is a tough one, I had to think a while.

Five Living:

Johnny Depp -- I agree with Katt, but I'd probably be drooling over him.

Angelina Jolie -- I really admire her humanitarian work.

B.B. King -- one of the greatest musicians still living.

James Lee Burke -- Fantastic writer

Reverend Al Sharpton -- I don't always necessarily agree with Reverend Al, but I like him.

Non-Living:

Jesus Christ

Mother Teresa

Sam Houston

Mark Twain

Martin Luther King

Interesting people you have chosen, ladies!!
-------------------

Well, I guess the living people I would most like to meet are:

Val Kilmer... played Doc Holliday in the movie "Tombstone",
and Jim Morrison in "The Doors" movie. He's too sexy!!!

Barack Obama... the politician who is making the most sense
to me right now.

James Carville... this guy really knows his politics, and he's
not afraid to speak his mind!

Maya Angelou... an angel on earth, who has more grace and
love in her spirit than any writer I could name. She gave
us "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings", and so much
more!

President Bill Clinton... my favorite president of all time.
His wisdom and loving heart are a national treasure!!

----

My favorite deceased people I would like to meet :

John Denver... when he died, it broke my heart. He's the
Greatest Country/Folk Musician of all time, for me
anyway.

John "Mayflower Compact" Alden... my maternal 8G
Grandfather whocame here on the Mayflower in 1620.

Chief Joseph... Nez Perce Native American 1840-1904
A man who gave his all to save his people.

Princess Diana... she died far too young, and had much left
to give to the world she loved so much.

Johnny Cash... a great singer, whose heart was bigger than
he was. He sang the songs about reality of the
downtrodden, and always wore black for remembrance.
I loved him, and miss him greatly.

--------------------

That did take a great deal of thought, but it was an interesting thing to do. =) Sometimes, we forget to think about the people who have helped to make us who we are, simply by their deeds and their giving ways.

I would like to meet the following living people:

- Barach Obama - the first politian EVER to give me hope for our political future

- Al Gore - I like his approach to environmental problems

- Oprah Winfrey - puts her money where her mouth is and seems to genuinely care for people

- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - gorgeous hunk o' man who seems to be a genuinely nice person

- Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter - I like that they're helping people with their time, money, and fame. I didn't really notice Jimmy much while he was in office, but it seems to me that he's a heck of an ex-president!

I would like to meet the following deceased people:

- my paternal grandfather. He died when my dad was only 13, and I have so little information on who he was. He lived in a small town and everyone seemed to have liked him.

- Kathryn Hepburn. My hero growing up. I admired her independence and talent.

- John Lennon. A man of peace, who was so talented at expressing himself.

Wow, I'm so used to ignoring the pins that I didn't notice this one. Till now of course. Nice topic Mare.

This is tough. Lotso people I'd love to sit and speak with.

Live:
George W Bush: Perhaps if I could channel enough Christ consciousness I could convert him over to the good side. As long as your alive there is still hope.

Hiyayo Miyazaki: The man is a master story teller. Besides, I saw his work in visions as a child before he even created them. I'd like to know what that means. Talking to him may give me a clue and I'd just like to meet the man who created such wonderful stories.

Noam Chomsky: The man is incredible.

Anja Daniels: You don't know her. I've seen her face in visions throughout my childhood.

Sorry. That's only four. It's all I can think of right now.

Dead:
Jesus of course. I'd like to get the message straight from him (though I think I already do/we all do if we listen carefully enough)

Albert Einstien: A man of many levels. Opposed to facists everywhere.

Sidhartha/Buddha: There is much to learn from him.

I can't remember his name but the guy who built the Coral Castle in Florida. The guy possessed something, some sort of knowledge or had some sort of ability we can only speculate about.

I can't think of anyone else. There are many people I would like to talk to but no one in particular over any other person. Everyone has something to offer.

Oh yeah, Mohandas Ghandi: I could get a lot of inspiration from such a man.

Heck, Donald Trump would probably just laugh if any one would ask for money....I don't really trust that guy. He'll probably never, in this lifetime, use up all that cash....which is a waste. [Sigh]

I agree. I don't want tons of money, just enough to take care of my family, which consists of my Dad, 2 dogs, one cat and one bird. We don't need fancy cars or a huge house. To be able to pay the bills and go food shopping without having to rob peter to pay paul would be nice.

I like what Mother Theresa said: God doesn't give you more than you can handle I just wish he didn't trust me so much.

You said a mouthful with that!! I'd just like to have enough to take care of the bills, gas(!), and food with enough leftover to be able to breathe with. We're not poor but not rich either.

We are the same way. We had/have to work so hard to keep going. It can be trying sometimes. Maybe having to keep going is why we are here. What I mean is, I believe we are here to learn lessons and when we have done that we pass over to a better place. (I know there is a better place because I have seen it).

Gas prices are terrible here. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to just ride a bike or walk!! But, I know gas prices are terrible everywhere. You would think that something would give.

They're having to much of a good time playing with us raising the gas prices, then dropping them again. I find that totally ignorant. The gas prices here is at $2.69.

I believe we are here to learn lessons too, thanks to Sylvia Browne and my own feelings on it.

Good question, Mare. Everyone has such neat choices! Hmm... let's see who I can come up with.... [Big Grin]

Alive:

1) Phil Jordan (reknown psychic that helps police solve crimes)
2) a handsome cop (or something of that nature - single, of course. [Embarrassed] )
3) Dr. Zahi Hawass (Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Antiquities)
4) Val Kilmer
5) Bono (from U2)
bonus person) Mario Lopez (can't help but love the dimples [Wink] )

Dead:

1) my paternal grandfather (Who passed before I could meet him.)
2) Catharine Griswold Wells (My GGG grandmother, b. 1797 -- I have her photo and it intrigues me, as well as not being able to trace her much through genealogy.)
3) Princess Diana
4) William Wallace (of "Braveheart")
5) King Tut (I want to know all the dirt! [Laughing] )
