I have had some experiences with the supernatural over the span of my life... and the first and only time I saw a ghost was when I was a girl about 7-8 years old; my teenage sister and I shared a bedroom in this apartment we lived in in Chicago. One night we both woke up at the same time to see a man standing at the foot of our bed...he was more a dark form with glowing red eyes.
We could see him really well, because the bathroom (which was next door to our room) light was on and it illuminated his form. He was watching us for what seemed like the longest time, my sister whispered to me if I saw what she saw and I said yes, since we shared a bed, we hugged each other and prayed. At that time, he put his hands on the foot of the bed and started pushing the bed up and down, then he disappeared. When I got older, I learned that he was a satanist who hung himself in our bedroom closet. Before we moved into that apartment, my mom and oldest brother went to check it out and in our closet in that bedroom, on the door was painted an inverted cross...and the dining room was painted (walls and floor) black.
I had learned also as I got older that my mom had seen the man standing in the doorway of our bedroom, just staring at her; when she would be in the bathtub, the doorknob would turn as if someone was trying to open the door (and my mom would curse the ghost out =) and he would stop)-and these things would happen when she was alone. So many weird things would happen in this place.
