I've never been too impressed with the "haunted" stuff that's hawked on ebay. The dolls in the example are pretty questionable. One was claimed to be a portrait of an actual child, when in fact, it was not an artisan made doll at all, but one that was mass produced in a factory. Another on the page was claimed to be inhabited by a WWII era child. Had it been a doll manufactured in that era, I would have shrugged and given the story the benefit of the doubt. However, the doll pictured is not anywhere near that old. I made porcelain dolls for years and have a pretty good knowledge of antiques as well as antique reproductions.
The ring...that one is just too cheesy to be taken seriously. Although there is a good chance some poor schmuck will buy it. People have caught on that they can stick the word "haunted" on any item and it has a better chance of selling. Even some realtors have caught on to this. I've came across real estate ads for supposedly "haunted houses." Some may be, but likely as not, it is a marketing ploy. I would advise anyone, whether buying a quarter million dollar "haunted house" or a $15 "haunted doll" to check into the authenticity of the story and not to buy anything because of someone else's claim that it is haunted. Buy it because it appeals to you.
