For the past few months my husband and I have been watching the program "Ghost Hunters". I have always enjoyed the program, for the 'most' part the evidence seems credible but I'm no expert and I do admit, I am probably naive about this because I want to believe.

The more I've watched the program and have checked the forum on the Sci-fi channel it seems most of the posters think the show is total fiction - everything made up, all for entertainment and money.

I wanted to run this across the Spiritkeep bough just for the reason that so many of you Are active 'ghost hunters' and I want to see what your opinions are. I don't want this to be a smear on Ghost Hunters at all, I just want some opinions from people that actually have experience in the paranormal.

Do the results of their investigations seem credible to you? Do you think the evidence is 'fixed' and they are pulling the wool over people's eyes? I do admit to watching a few of the episodes (the one with the Manson murders definitely comes to mind) and I have to say that (in that one instance) that I just don't believe it! But a lot of the other shows do 'seem' credible. What are your opinions? I thought the concept of the show at first was really a good one - people trying to help people deal with the unknown - and I have to admit that I'm pretty saddened to think that - maybe - their motives aren't as pure as I origially thought? Again not to smear Taps or Ghost Hunters. Just straightforward honest opinions please. Thanks!

Well, I haven't been able to see this season's episodes yet but I can tell you that there were some that I truly believe.
When they were investigating the prison (I don't remember where it was) and that black shadow appeared to rise and go down the hall. It arose and moved too quick for anyone to copy that kind of fluid movement.
The next one was when Grant was sitting at a table and the next thing he knew was the chair on the other side of the table moved. He let out a yell and you can actually see the chair move by itself. Those were some of my faves.
I've heard that they've gone "Hollywood" but whether they are fake is left for the viewer to decide for themselves. I don't discredit anyone for not believing them because not everyone is a believer in the first place.
