Cheaptrix, you may have experienced sleep paralysis. Several people on the board have experienced this phenomenon, including myself. In sleep paralysis, you are awakened from a deep sleep, but your mind is still in that "dream state". It can cause you to hallucinate, but it seems very real. For whatever reason, it is more common while people are in their 20's. My husband had several episodes of it when he was in college. It is a scary experience and one you don't forget, but it really isn't paranormal in nature and nothing to be afraid of. Hope this helps!
