Tis a frosty morn in northern florida. jackets and mittens required!!!!

Am listening to some awesome REN music. Having some tea and preparing a latter repast of chicken, mushrooms. onions and sauce over potatoes.
AH- loooovely morn!!!!!!

If any amongst y'all have an interst in this type of music and don't know "who" to buy, well- here's some stuff...ensemble galilei, the baltimore consort and the waverly consort. Oh yeh- it's the good stuff. makes my reinactor's heart tremble with joy!!!

I am a pirate reinactor. Been that way for years even before- yes, way before the johnny depp stuff. Some of us feel it's just so much nonsense- but I always argue back-it's all in fun- unstuff yourselves!!! some metamucil oughtta help this historical constipation so common amongst my folks!!

Just because we see ourselves through the eyes history doesnt mean we can't have s good sense of humour along the way.

Right!!!!

Anyway- if you can connect with these cd's you won't be sad.

Ensemble Galilei "from the isles to the courts" is awesome and baltimore conorts "the mad buckgoat" will get ya started well. Anything you find from the waverly consort will be great. I have the one with sephardic jewish tunes from spain.
I lost my other one about the new world and it's out of print. gotta find it again somehow.

BTW- STEDE BONNET is the only pirate that ever was known to make anyone walk the plank!! Really!!!

A little trivia for y'all.

have a wonderful day....Seaghost

Sorry Seaghost, I've never heard of the music before. Maybe the reason you love to reinact pirate lives is because, in a past life, you were a pirate. I do get a very strong sense about this.

oh i am sorry you have never heard this type of music before. I found the cd i was searching for online in a 2 cd set. yay.

as far as that pirate past life thing goes , i really wouldnt know. I have been reading the latest book on the lost colony of roanoke island to get ready for a discussion with my fellow history geeks and suddenly for a brief moment there was a visual flash . I was in a long boat going to shore. I could see the ocean glowing bright green as the sun slanted through it. i heard the waves breaking onshore and could smell the sea.then it was gone and back to the book. I think it was a case of an over active imagination along with a lot of time on the water. I think the book just put me "in the mood". odd though...

have a nice day, seaghost
