HPI Chronicles: The Haunted Home of Sabrina & Matt

Today was a busy day, I just got done interviewing a metaphysician named Genevieve 'Gen' Lee in Vacaville and now I was zooming up the road with lead investigator Chris Grissom on my cell line. Chris was wondering if I was going to show up at my house in time for the investigation in Elk Grove. I told Chris, I was making good time and I will be ready to go. Especially since Chris' group was all showing up at my home, before the investigation. As everyone showed up at my house, I offered everyone coffee, crackers and cheese. We discussed the upcoming investigation as I turned down my TV, I was right in the middle of the movie 30 Days of Night. With all of the investigations that HPI gets involved in, it's hard to relax and watch a good movie. Alas, this is the life of a paranormal investigator. After Chris gave his briefing, we convoyed with 6 cars down lonely stretches of road to get to this possible haunted home. Before I get into this story, let's find out who all the investigators that attended this investigation and what type of equipment we were using.
Let's take a roll call for all of the HPI Occult Detectives for this private investigation: Chris Grissom - Lead Investigator/Technician, Paul Dale Roberts - Ghostwriter/Investigator, Holly DeLaughter - Investigator/Sensitive/Professional Photographer, Donna Reynolds - Investigator, Kristen Sheley - Investigator/Researcher, Justin Kohn - Investigator-in-Training, Shauna Kinchen - Investigator-in-Training.
Equipment being used for this investigation: High 8 Video Camera with Night Vision, Dowsing Rods, several digital audio recorders for EVPs, temperature gauges and thermometers, several digital cameras, digital camera with infrared capabilities and flashlights.
We definitely needed flashlights, because this home is located on acres of land. The land according to the occupants is haunted. Holly DeLaughter felt an American Indian presence on this land. This home is out in open field where coyotes linger about. The occupants Matt and Sabrina gave us a briefing on how their children and grandchildren have seen a phantom Army man walking about on their land. One of their grandkids saw what he called a 'bad man' that was walking out in their yard and bathroom. One child once told them that there was a black monster in the chicken pen. Matt tells me that once when he was in the metal shed, there was sounds of heavy footsteps on the roof, when he investigated, there was no one up there. The footsteps continued to run back and forth on the roof. One of their children had a vision that the house was engulfed in flames and the smell of burned wood was smelled within the areas of the house by other family members. One family member has seen what she describes as a white shadow person walking by or how a dark shadow creature with no discerning features crossed the living room area. The shadow creature walks on all 4 legs and has been seen a few times by other family members. A picture of Matt's brother who was a paratrooper in the Army was moved from it's place on the wall to the opposite end of the wall and no one made claim of moving it.
(Sabrina says: "This is actually a small picture in the same frame as the larger one. The small picture was turned upside down in the frame, the picture of Matt's brother is a picture of his brother in full Army uniform".
Matt's brother was paralyzed from a jump that he made, in which he was trying to do a triple flip in the air."
Could this be the phantom Army man in the open fields? I can only wonder.
Matt and Sabrina were very hospitable to the HPI crew and had coffee, Pepsis, cheese, ham, crackers, assorted fruit waiting for us. She was pleased at our professionalism and how we conducted ourselves. As I interviewed Sabrina, she explained to me that her daughter has seen white shadows criss crossing areas of one of the bedrooms. Matt has on many occasions seen shadowy figures move about in his home. Matt and Sabrina lived in this home for two years and the paranormal activity started two months from the time they moved in.
I interviewed one of their grandsons and their grandson told me that I should check out the bedroom with the bunk bed in it, because this is where his little brother was terrorized by a dark figure in the room. When I went back in the house, Holly told me in her own words that she felt something in the very room that the boy described with the bunk bed. Holly explains that there is some type of entity that would frighten one of the children. Holly knew nothing of this story, but yet she was telling me the same story as Sabrina's son was telling me. I then told Holly about Sabrina's son's story and Holly was amazed at her own ability. I was amazed too.
Other notes as described in Sabrina's own words:
"The bad man has a gun. Chance told his mom "He will shoot you, mom" and wants the doors locked to keep the bad man outside.
I have seen a full bodied shadow person in my room. He stood there for about a minute looking at me while I was looking at him.
There has also been a disembodied voice calling my son's name.
Matt has definately been touched (tapped on the head) and I had the experience with the "cold spot" that hit my tummy while I was in bed.
Also felt a "cat" walking on the bed.
One of your investigators, I'm sorry, I don't recall which one, suggested we show Chance the picture of Bob, Matt's deceased brother. When we did so there was no hesitation on Chance's part. I asked him if that was the Army man and he immediately said yes. I don't know if it is or not, but we told him that the next time he sees him to say "hi, Bob" and explained that he was a good guy,
Bill still sees the shadow folk walking through his room on a daily basis. I gave him a notebook and asked him to log everything for you." (End of Sabrina's testimonial)
While we were there, we captured some excellent designer orb photographs, some possible ectoplasm photographs and of course we need to analyze our recordings for possible EVPs. Shauna took an unusual photograph in the chicken coup, it had a red tinge and a possible face. I suggested we go back and take another photograph in the same location to see if we can recreate the image. Chris checked with Shauna to see who was in the chicken coup with her. He discovered it was Justin. At the time when the photograph was taken, Justin's camera infra-red light was turned on, which caused the red tinge. A trickery of light caused the image of what appeared to be a face. The photograph was debunked. Our lead investigator Chris Grissom has his work cut out for him, he now has to analyze all of the data that he will be receiving from his investigators. A lead investigator's job is a tiring job, but at times the results are worth it. Let's see what Chris has to say in his FINDINGS and CONCLUSION.

Occupants have lived in the home for 2 years. No other information was known about the property. Holly our resident sensitive feels that there might have been a Native American presence on the land occupied by the clients.
Reported paranormal activity:
Occupants related to me the activity started only after living in the home 2 months. One of the grandchildren has had numerous run ins with a malevolent entity both inside the home and while playing outside. Soon after the incident that happened outside, the child refused to go out to play. He was genuinely frightened by the experences. While working out in the garage one evening the male occupant heard footsteps running across the roof. After investigating what was going on he found that there was no one on the roof. One of the occupants have seen what she describes as a white shadow person walking by and a dark type creature cross by the living room area. The shadow creature walks on all 4 legs and has been seen a few times by other family members. There was a small picture of the male occupants deceased brother in his Military uniform place in the corner of a picture frame. One afternoon the picture was found upside down. None of the other family member claimed to have moved it. There have been claims of a disembodied voice calling one of the grandchildrens names.
Findings:
There were numerous orbs caught on film. There was also what looks to be ectoplasm caught on film by one investigator outside. I tried to debunk the ectoplasm but was unable to do this, due to no one smoked and the weather was too warm for their breath to be the cause. Despite countless attempts at finding any EVPs, none were recorded. No other video or audio evidence was discovered as being conclusive.
Conclusion:
After hearing all the family member claims of the activity being experienced on the property and the evidence that was collected during the investigation, I feel that there is a possiblilty of paranormal phenomenon. I have been in contact with the occupants to conduct a second investigation.

GOLD RUSH GHOSTS was commissioned to do an investigation on March 6th, 2008 of an old theatre building in Placerville, California. On that investigation was Robert Reppert, and Rodney Roberts. They were asked to explain the strange activity that is taking place in the building, and they were asked to not, as yet, give out the exact address of the building. People connected to the building were hearing voices in the rafters, they experienced lights that went on and off without seeing hands, and clothes that were thrown to the floor in the costume room by an unseen presence. Often people were being pushed and shoved in the building, and on several occasions a man's voice was heard screaming for them to leave immediately. These events continued to happen in full view of the cast and crews of the productions that are offered there.
On this investigation, Gold Rush Ghosts was able to secure on film, costumes being flung off of hangers and landing on the floor. Shoe boxes on a shelf were mysteriously thrown across the room. The investigators have on camera, someone walking across the top of the bleachers when the building was empty except for Robert and Rodney. Voices of a gruff man and also a crying female were recorded.
We will be staying on top of this one, as they have asked for Paul Dale's assistance on the next investigation to this site. Because there is surely activity, the Celebrities Psychic Nancy Bradley, one of the top ten psychics in the world will go along as well. This is one to watch.
GOLD RUSH GHOSTS PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS was recently commissioned to New Jersey to conduct an investigation on UFO activity in the Newton, Lake Owassa area. Owner of GOLD RUSH GHOSTS, Nancy Bradley had written about the strange UFO activity and the governmental interest in the late 70's ans 80's for such publications as Fate Magazine and others. On the newest investigation, there was substantial proof of strange activity in these areas, most notably around the inlet area of the lake.
On this preliminary investigation was Robert Reppert, and Nancy. They intend to do a further and more thorough investigation in the near future, hopefully with Paul Dale Roberts and other members of their professional team.
