HPI Chronicles: The North Fork Polygon and the Haunted Home on Hurley.

Before I get into my preliminary investigation story, let me tell you about some information that I received about the North Fork Polygon aka the Green Valley Vortex!
I am always talking about various vortexes in our world, from the Bermuda Triangle to the Dragon's Triangle to Skinwalker Ranch to Sedona, Arizona, but we have a legendary vortex right here near Sacramento. Mandy Lewis, HPI Ghosthunter-in-Training pointed out that we have the Green Valley Vortex, also known as the North Fork Polygon. I have been in and around and all over this Polygon and I can attest that there appears to be a lot of haunting activity within this Polygon. Some of the legends of the Green Valley Vortex are that in 1978, two high school students claimed they were stalked by a silver colored metallic machine (robot) through the woods. In and around this area there are deformed trees. Similar trees can be found at the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz. There has been numerous UFO sightings in this area. In fact in 1896 UFO airships were seen near Auburn and Bowman. There are old Indian legends of a buried Green Valley Pyramid. A pyramid that no one has found to this very day. The Virgin Mary has appeared at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Colfax.
I have always theorized that actual Virgin Mary appearances are the work of extraterrestrial forces, using hologram imagery. In the case of Virgin Mary sightings in Fatima, while the sun (disc) danced in the skies, the appearance of the Virgin Mary was seen by the crowd closest to the children. People further away from the children, could not see the Virgin Mary apparition. They could see the dancing sun, except for the fact, the sun was set on the West side of the horizon. With people closest to the children seeing the Virgin Mary would indicate some sort of hologram effect. If UFOs are being seen at the Green Valley Vortex, it appears our extraterrestrial friends are playing mind games with the people that come to witness the Virgin Mary apparition.
There is the legend of the Lake Theodore Lake Creature. This is truly a legend, because no one claims to have seen it. There has been sightings of Bigfoot. Some people who have seen UFOs in the area, have made claim to experiencing missing time. On 4/28/2008 an oval shaped crop circle was found in this vicinity.
I guess the most interesting thing about the Green Valley Vortex is the Rock Monster dinosaur fossils and the comparison of the Face on Mars to a face found on some lime rock in this area. This is a mysterious area and there is one story I will never forget. When I was a firefighter with the California Division of Forestry in Colfax during 1977, a couple of firefighters told me that they were fighting a fire and came upon a small fire near the grass. They attempted to put the small fire out with their hose and it jumped before the water could hit it. They did it again and it jumped again. It appeared to have intelligence. Finally it leaped high into the tree to converge with a larger fire in the tree. They both called this encounter 'The Fire Critter'. Fire does have many capabilities that a living organism has. It can breathe oxygen. It can consume. It deposits waste matter. It can reproduce. Hmmmm...makes you wonder. Now to my preliminary investigation tonight....
I conducted my preliminary investigation this evening of August 29, 2008, Friday. All good investigators have ears on the street, when I worked on the streets of Germany with C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Division) in Germany, we called them informants. One of my informants named Mardel Soderstrom told me about a home on Hurley Avenue in Sacramento. She made some connections with the owners and got me inside this evening. When I talked with the occupants, they told me that one night a cup vanished in front of 4 people and it has never reappeared again. Other items in this home disappear and reappear randomly. The VCR pops open and closes on its own accord. There are 3 Shadow People that are seen constantly in this home. The occupants believe that their previous home was haunted. There was a murder committed in their previous home. They feel that the entities of this home have now followed them to this new home. They have witnessed the curtains rotate clockwise and then counter clockwise on their own, when the air around the home is stagnant. One time a Shadow Person appeared on their TV screen, when the TV was off.
I spent a good 3 hours conducting my investigation in this home. After analyzing the photographs, I found no anomalies in the photos. I analyzed the recording I took this evening on my digital audio recorder and there is no indication of any EVPs. It's not to say that this home is not haunted. The occupants were very sincere in their interview and there were no signs of deception. On this night the entities of this home were not performing.
After I left this home, I headed over to the East Lawn Memorial Park, located at 43rd and Folsom Boulevard. This cemetery was established in 1904. East Lawn was an alternative to the City Cemetery.
Historic figures that are buried in the East Lawn Memorial Park are Newton J. Earp, the brother to Wyatt Earp. Alex and Mary Adams, who were known as the King and Queen of the gypsy community lie at this cemetery. So does William Land and Joseph H. McKinney the first Sacramento County sheriff.
Another tidbit of history is that four Royal Air Force Officers died in a plane crash near Mather Air Force Base in 1943. Their burial site soil at this cemetery is mixed with soil from Great Britain.
As I walked around looking for Newton J. Earp's plot, I conducted EVP work. I asked is there anyone here. I gave any entities some ample time to respond. I then said, I am here to listen to your story. When I played my recording back, I heard a woman's soft voice say..."okay". That was the only EVP I got this evening. After I stumbled over a gravesite in the pitch black darkness, I knew it was time to head home. This ghosthunter needs his rest.
